City v Daggers 1-0 John-Lewis 18 minutes. Scores his first of the season with the first effort on target.
Cross from Kerr.
Sounds like a very positive performance so far.

1-1 Strevens
67 minutes looped shot.
D&R having much of the play and have just missed "a sitter".
Big Jack McGinley- 08-16-2008
1-2... :(

1-2 Strevens again.
Sounds like they deserve it.
impnut- 08-16-2008
1-3
Strevens hat trick? or Benson.
Defence all at sea, poor midfield. Have we heard that before? Sounds as if they have worked much harder than we have.

Oh dear
Definite reality check for all those getting carried away over the summer (and I'm guilty, to some degree, of that)

Just noticed Sinclair went off injured early on.
The new Moses :?:

Early days.
Jacko will sort it.

Gutted with todays result... We were good 1st half & didnt turn up for the 2nd... Burch had a mare & dont get me started on TEAM DNG.... does he not realise there are 10 other players on the pitch... The ref & linesmen were a joke as well.... same old, same old!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed for next week
Islington_Imp- 08-16-2008
But sammyimp, when N'Guessan had the ball, no-one was giving him any options. There was nobody shouting for the ball at all.
sammyimp- 08-16-2008
I felt at times he was too greedy & there were other players he could have given the ball to.. Just my opinion...

Burch will have a good career as keeper at a higher level than this.
Goalkeepers improve as they get older.
His shot stopping is outstanding. However his decision making at the moment is diabolical. He could easily have been sent off last week. We may have to bring someone in on loan if it does improve quickly
We need to bring a left back in during the next 2 weeks.
If Sinclair is going to be injury prone we need another central defender
Frecklington played like his confidence is low. PJ needs to get him playing at his best otherwise we will struggle to get out of the division.
Kerr is an average L2 player not a top of the table L2 player.
LJL and DNG are both dangerous players but having 2 wingers or converted forwards in the midfield means we seem to lose possession too easily a lot of the time in the middle of the park. I think we need a proper midfielder who is comfortable playing wide (which none of Oakes, Freck and Kerr are)
Wright is not really a target man and has never really looked like one.
Gall's effort is wonderful and I think he can score some goals but we are desperately missing a link man. There is one at Notts County who would do the job perfectly.
I was hoping Graham could do the job but if he is only worth 6 minutes when we are playing so poorly maybe PJ doesn't think he is up to it anymore.

A fair summary, that, but the amount of new players you list is simply beyond our means. I think we are stuck with the squad we have and can only hope that Jacko does what he did last season and pulls them around.

The very words I used when their third went in "same old, same old!"
Where do you sit, Sammy?

Unfortunately I couldn't make the game today so I'm interested to read these comments.
I wonder why Frecklington's confidence is low, if that is the case? He had a great spell under the 2 J's but has struggled for any consistency since then. This is not the sign of a player capable of playing at a higher level.
I was gutted when I heard that Forrester had left. I don't think his contribution to this team was fully appreciated in good times - but particularly in the bad. I hope the decision not to keep him (or at least try harder to keep him) is not one that bites us in the butt too hard.
