I think we will miss Forrester more than we realised..

Posh Imp- 08-16-2008

Gutted with todays result... We were good 1st half & didnt turn up for the 2nd... Burch had a mare & dont get me started on TEAM DNG.... does he not realise there are 10 other players on the pitch... The ref & linesmen were a joke as well.... same old, same old!!!!!!!!! Fingers crossed for next week The very words I used when their third went in "same old, same old!" Where do you sit, Sammy? I sit in the lower co-op, 2nd section from stacey west side. My son likes to be near the pitch so he can see the players & get autographs... That must be Block 6. Joe (my son) and I sit in Block 5 but near the top of the lower section, just next to block 6!

Yeah it is block 6... just looked at his season ticket.. We like to have a bit of space around us as my son (5) likes to get up & down & fidgits alot. Dont want to upset anyone lol!!

People can criticise DNG, and he frustrates me as well, but he is the only one who can do something with the ball.

sammyimp- 08-17-2008

Im not saying hes carp, what im saying is that sometimes he makes life blooming difficult for himself... A few times yesterday he did all the hard work then lost the ball due to being greedy, he could have past the ball, there were players available... He fustrates me so much...

Dean- 08-17-2008

People can criticise DNG, and he frustrates me as well, but he is the only one who can do something with the ball. He does next to nothing at all with the ball. He beats the same man twice on numerous occasions, and only very occasionally produces a decent ball into the box, and he has not got a clue when to pass. Someone needs to remind him it is a team game then his ability may be appreciated.

I was shouting at him to release the ball just as it sailed into the net. Just a shame that it was disallowed! I know why people have a go at him but I think he can be exciting to watch. His shot that went wide in the first half was unlucky.

His shot that went wide in the first half was unlucky. Are one or two moments of excitement or skill during the game enough to warrant a place in the side though Captain? Like most I can see he has skill, but the number of times during the game he does turn on the style is far outweighed by the number of times he frustrates for me. I also do not see who could replace him, which is a bigger worry for me.

Probably not, mate. But I guess he would soon move on if he finds his end product. I would pick him ahead of Gall every time, though. Now there's a player with zero end product.

To be fair, he has only had one real chance, with an excellent shot which was brilliantly saved, at Derby. He needs to get the ball at his feet, just like Forrester did, but the rest of the team seems incapable of realising this fact!

If they are not passing to feet then he needs to be telling them during the game. I think you will find he wont be telling them to do so as over the top is going to be his way of playing.

thecaptain- 08-17-2008

Over the top in the general direction of Gall. It's bloody awful to watch. I remember Jackson mocking KA for his style of play ;)

Dean- 08-17-2008

With the squad he has assembled is this the only tactic he has left himself?

thecaptain- 08-17-2008

Well we're devoid of ideas without Sinclair and Oakes. Why did he wait until the 84th minute to make changes? And then King is chucked on out wide. Why oh why! It is early days and I don't want to be criticising everything but a lot of people knew the problem areas. Still short at the back, no proper left back and lightweight up front. Certainly too light if we're going to play it long.
