Is it because we lost that no-one is posting today? Hey, come on people! We have Derby to look forward to! Remember Birmingham and Fulham?
Everyone to Pride Park to witness a cup shock!

I shall be there with my OH, who will be attending her first away game as an Imp fan. Looking forward to it, actually, and I suspect we'll put in a better performabce than against the Millers.

Not because we lost, no. I've been at Lightwater Valley today with family & friends.
Getting a bit tired of going up and down the A1 recently though :(

As long as we don't get hammered like on our last visit to Derby. The nightmares are still there!

That would have been the 7-1 defeat in the eighties!
My last visit to Derby (and my only visit) was to the old Baseball Ground back in 1967 when we drew 1-1 in the League Cup fourth round! It cost my dad 9d for me to get in the ground and just 1s 6d for him (that's 4p and 8p in new money!!!) How times change!
I think we will go one better this season!

It'd still be better than a win at the DVS.

See you there, Skanky?

No, I'm constrained to a max distance from the maternity hospital for the foreseeable future.

Wasn't it 7-0 in the 80's Eric?
One thing for sure about the Derby game they certainly do not have a winning habit at the moment.
Posh Imp- 08-11-2008
Indeed it was 7-0, Dean. I agree that they aren't on what you might call 'a winning run' at the moment!
Doncaster softened them up for us on Saturday, thankfully!
Presumably you will be there? Where will you park?

Derby are desperate for a morale boosting win
If PJ does not pull his finger out and get his midfield sorted out I think we might get a hiding.

I think the quietness is due to the nature of the game rather than the result. It was just a real apathetic, bizarre feeling. The game felt like a pre-season game and being so far from the teams made me feel very detached from the action. The atmosphere was also so poo that I didn't feel like I was at a football game. I kept getting distracted by nything and everything-just a combination of being far away, the lack of noise and the tripe out on the pitch.

Everytime i heard some slow hand clapping i thought pole vault or high jump was taking place somewhere. Really didn't feel like the first game of the season at all.
