South Park Common
For anyone who is not aware, the gates to the common have been closed by the City Council on match days. There should be an Echo article on Friday so read it and write in if, like me, you feel strongly that this is a nonsense. :evil:

Its not good for visitors' impression of the city either. Barnet's official website are advertising parking on the common in their guide to the match.

Definitely not an easy place to get out of! I only ever parked there once!

I will sorely miss the common. Its only a few minutes walk to the ground, its never full so can always get a space and as long as you have a pint after the game you drive straight out!

Do we know what the current situation is with the Fire Station? It seems to have gone quiet on that front as of late unless I've missed any recent developments.

this is going on all over land given to the people is being taken over ,and the wishes of the people that gave it is no longer taken into account,i do not know what the terms of south park is,or was but it must be put right ,as it was ment to be

Autumn Fair setting up on common tonight

So will the fair have a car park? Are you allowed to camp / sleep on the common?

I'm sure that all of the residents around Sincil Bank wil be grateful for the common being closed! Lets face it the holy land aint exactly easy to park near.

Rumour hath it (and as far as I know it is only rumour) that the residents of South Park were part of the reason it was closed.
