Steff Wright, time for him to stand down?
After another year of dismal football, is it time that the board changed direction and Mr. Wright resigned as Chairman of the Football Club? It would be a very positive step for the future, might prove an added imp-etus for season ticket sales and show an intention that a new figurehead of the board will drive the club onwards and upwards? My own personal vote for new Chairman would be Chris Travers. GG

Thank goodness! A "Steff Wright Resign!" thread. I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms.

Two threads, two "resign" campaigns George. Anyone would think you had a one track mind. File this one under "Malcontents" Posh............

Interesting how the first post on this thread is almost identical to one posted a while back by "the thinker". Identical twins perhaps? All they need is a third partner and they could become the equivalent of the three witches in Macbeth. After all, they sup from the same well of poison and doubtless have the same source of inspiration.

Am I missing something, does Steff pick the team? has Steff under performed on the pitch? Yes he extended the Jackson contract, but surely that was a board decision not just a Steff decision. You have all got it wrong it should be sack the board

Far too much politics in football,we all have football to get us away from the boring humdrum of daily politics be it at work or thrust down our necks from the media. So what we don't need is politics in football human nature stripped down to it's bare essentials isnt the most prettiest thing in life.

Nice idea, but politics is an essential part of both football and life. Also I wish the media would thrust more politics down our throats as I believe it to more interesting and more important than reading about the latest bimbette that Frank Lampard has porked...

OK do you have hard evidence of your statement above, or do you just move in an anti Trust/Board circle? have you done anything about it or do you just post on message boards? Please don't take offence, I am interested in your comments.

My own personal vote for new Chairman would be Chris Travers. I see this concurs with "thethinker"'s choice for Chairman. What does Chris Travers bring the table that Steff doesn't? 1970s programme column? Sleaford backgound?

I think it indicates that possibly thethinker and GentlemanGeorge sing from the same hymn sheet, that is their perogative! I have heard Chris Travers is a decent bloke. Maybe a potential successor but if it ain't broke why fix it? I guess the two posters named above would beg to disagree?

I am not a member of the Board so you might like to check your facts. There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. The problem with you is that your criticism is entirely destructive and designed to be as such. As for your statement that "a lot of people (are) unhappy with the way the club is run" I would be interested to see the evidence for that. Your problem is that you can't produce it, can you? In other words, you will neither "put up" nor "shut up". More's the pity for you.

There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. Steff Wright resign! (How am I doing?)
