Didn't look offside to me. The question is would we still have put in an abject second half performance had it been 2-0 at half time?

I think it took the wind out of our sails and was a let-off for D&R, but otherwise it's impossible to tell.
BTW, it's not just that we were poor in the second half, D&R upped their game. They compressed the play and harried us mercilessly, working out that we wanted time on the ball. A typical L2 peformance by them, to be honest: compress the play, close down quickly and break when the opposition lose the ball.

I didn't see the game as I was househunting in Wales, but just going by the highlights, it looks like Burch had some trouble with his decision-making. FWIW I think he's going to turn into a great keeper, but he really needs to work on his decision-making-ie. when to come out, when to stay on his line etc. I saw the problem at Rotherham a couple of times.

Yep. He was lucky to stay on the pitch that day.

Agree with you about D&R upping the tempo IF! In the first half we had time to pick the passes and to make decisions, in the 2nd passes were all going astray due to the pressure we were under from there players. For me, the balance of the team didn't look right with the substitutions, I still think we need a striker.

I think we need:
Striker, left-back, centre-back.
But I was saying that months ago. I think Jacko has missed the boat a bit with his signings, and needs to look at the loan market asap. Any team where Beevers and Brown are regularly in the back four is going to struggle IMHO.

In fairness Jackson will think that if Sinclair is fit he would be the missing centre back but there is always a risk in signing a 36 year old. Patulea may be the answer up front but we already have a lot of similar options. However, I agree we do really need a solid left back.

I meant another CB. Having five doesn't seem excessive, especially when Beevers is a make-shift and Hone is so young. But realistically perhaps that's a not a luxury we can afford.
All our defensive woes are made worse by our light-weight mid-field, though. We could really also do with two proper wingers, but I've given up any hope of ever seeing a proper winger at LCFC again.

Have you managed to get yourself a teaching job down there, then?

I fancied a move to Wales but I thought you needed to be able to speak Welsh to teach in Wales. :?

You don't have to be able to speak Welsh to teach in Wales but it does help your case. The good thing is, if you tell them you are willing to learn, they'll actually send you on courses to learn Welsh. Bora da!

Nope I've packed teaching in before I've really started. I'm now working for Majestic wines as a trainee manager. Hopefully I shouldn't be there more than 6 monthds

Sorry to hear that.
A few of the lads who have graduated off my course have gone into teacher training. One lad starts as a TA in Hull in September.
I can't find a job for toffee. Applied for a job at a local radio station in Newcastle but didn't amount to anything.
Job centre on Monday to find a stopgap me thinks.
