I can't see it being a problem, we all make the odd mistake and if all the candidates are happy then so should be the electorate. I suppose this proves you are not 'the thinker'.

Rick you are doing a good job, people who have a go at you do not offer to do the job,and are not member of the trust

NottyImp- 04-17-2009

It's about this time I'd usually parody thethinker. But I'm not sure it's possible anymore.

GazBlades- 04-17-2009

I blame Jacko.

NottyImp- 04-17-2009

I blame Jacko. You just don't get it, Gaz. It's always Steff Wright's fault.

Big Jack McGinley- 04-17-2009

I blame Jacko. You just don't get it, Gaz. It's always Steff Wright's fault. Errr, hang on the pair of you. I think you'll find that the blame lies solely with Iffy...

Before thethinker comes on here to accuse us vote rigging etc Very presumptive aren't we? And has a thread been removed this evening that seemed to suggest panic? Or is that why it has been removed?

When Steveimp pointed out that a certain prominent standee in the election had been missed out of a Trust email, Berksimps attempted some humour. "Surely not another cover-up? They must have realised that someone would notice this blatant attempt to rig the election. Very brave of you mention it on this board Steve; you had better watch your back from now on. I still think that my aunt’s dead budgerigar stands a better chance than you, even if you get the majority of the votes." Unfortunately, it appears it was all taken rather too seriously. Rick works very hard for the club and should never have considered resignation from the Trust.

Unfortunately, impnut, that is the world we live in. Some people are very quick to have a go, especially if they already have an axe to grind. But you are right, there's no way Rick should have considered resigning.

Re: Trust Apologies
I am an Imps fan, a Trust member and a small shareholder. I have looked at the message boards over the past few years, but never had any desire to become a member of any. Since reading the posts relating to the Trust AGM, and the nomination process etc from members of the Trust Board, including the Chairman, and others, I have decided to join this message board. There appears to be a failure by the Trust Board to give all the relevant information to it's members. It has taken the Trust three attempts with their latest emails relating to 'Trust Election Update 2009', 'Correction To Trust Election Update' and 'Election Correction', advising members who are actually standing for election. This is gross incompetence and completely unacceptable. I would like to think the majority of existing Board members carry out their duties in a more professional manner. Under the thread, Trust Apologies, lindumimp says "If anyone feels it is a major issue I will resign from the Trust Board over this." I do feel this is a major issue and therefore accept the opportunity to call for lindumimp to resign with immediate effect. He says "anyone" = any person = singular, therefore by his own words he must resign, leaving four vacancies to be filled on the Trust Board. This should give the Trust Board the opportunity to take care and be more efficient and transparent when advising their members of important issues.

It is now to late for the current election to be changed.
